Hello to all. As inept as I am with forums and therefore a little nervous about this...I would like to say that this board looks promising as I have read some posts that have provided me with information as well as what seems to be genuine support for each other. Well that and the fact this board was founded by someone "just down the street" certainly didn't hurt. I guess that fact just made this board feel more instantly at home.

I decided to post today because I thought I had everything all figured out with my epilepsy and it's relationship with my family. Silly me. Me and my EGO got slapped around yesterday with the ever- looming reality check. I need to "meet" people with epilepsy and those who live, know, support, and love those with epilepsy. I have never met anyone else with epilepsy or someone "in support". I know I have a lot to learn from others so I have come here today to start down a different path than I have been on. So a quick note that I experience complex partials and have had a few other neurological challenges.

I'm glad to be here and I am looking forward to this...

Hi Pandora,Welcome,
Dont worry about been inept on forums, cant be any worse than me!!! We could start a club, but seriously you will find this site great, its the best one ive come across.nice to have you on board.

Hi Pandora, welcome!

Feel free to explore all the forums and make yourself at home. Help yourself to the cookies, but stay away from the coffee (wait for a fresh pot.)

Best,
Nakamova

Welcome Pandora

First of all, the important stuff. Here's some fresh coffee  We do have all sorts of tea if coffee isn't part of your diet.

The people here are very supportive (at least I've thought so). Other than that I can only repeat what Nakamova's said & tell you to poke around & get comfy.

Hi-I,too,have complex partials-but not recently-they have been simple partials since my good med combo and not very frequent at that--but definite reality checks at every turn as you say!!!

This is a great site! I had tried others but this was the best one that I found. Questions get answered fast and most people know what you're talking about when you ask them.

I knew some about epilepsy before I joined the site, but if I had questions about things that would happen there really wasn't anyone I had to talk to about them.

You'll get so much help, and so many questions answered on here, welcome!

Welcome Pandora! Love that name!

I've found this to also be very supportive and informative as well. There are so many great people in here. There are days when I come in here and think this disorder kind of creates its own culture across all kinds of nationalities and backgrounds. Real people with real opinions and real facts are much better than taking a guess in the dark.

Left turn in Albuquerque

As I am prone to be distracted by shiny things and am all too familiar with taking too many left turns at Albuquerque, apologies are a large part of my repertoire. That being said...sorry for the delay in thanking all of you for welcoming me to the community. Over the last couple of weeks I spent some much needed time being a complete slug trying to get my bearings after my latest dive into the med blender. Guess it's time I rejoined the land of the lucid.

Just over the past few weeks it looks as though quite a few more people have joined. It's really good to see that this board is an active one. Guess I'll be finding my way around with a few other newbies. Comforting.

Well, thanks again for the welcome.
