Do you have auras or sensations before having a seizure?

What are your auras or sensations like before going into a seizure?

I become very nauseous, break out in an immediate sweat and an awful hot flash and my speaking is slurred.

Of the five grand-mals that I've had only 3 were preceded by a Simple Partial (aura), though I've had SP's on their own that don't advance into anything else for years.
Mine are of the psychogenic nature (fear, deja vu), and I also experience a few autonomic symptoms (stomach drops and face flushes hot).

When I had a cp i had no aura just confusion when I came out of it. But the tonic clonic my aura was a ticking noise. Voices and noises around me became distorded.

I never really thought of describing my auras as the "psychogenic nature" but that's pretty much how my auras are. Interesting. Thanks

I get a sad feeling, a feeling of fear that over comes me, my heart begins to race fast, and it feels like Im about to throw up. I get tingling in my lower body that works its way up to the rest of my body, then the seizure starts.

Actually Cordero, though I'm glad anytime I can give someone a different point of view, now that I've read this again I realize I completely misspoke. I meant to say 'psychic' and considering that I know what psychogenic means I have NO IDEA where the hell my head was at when I wrote that. Exhausted and just typing away on half a brain cel I'm guessing.
Personally to deal with 'psychogenic' seizures I think would be horrible... would feel just as lost as I do now but at least this is a disease they can put a name to. Icckkk.

I get that too. It's a scary feeling and I hate being alone when that happens.

yeah this was totally new to me last year when I started having these during my VEEG. I didnt know what was going on and as each seizure began, I kept having the same feeling over and over again. I hate the feeling of fear the most. At times I would get that feeling like it was really intense that I would want to cry because I got afraid at what was going to come next.

Yep,Aaleayha thats exactly what happens to me,although ill get like electric jerks in my brain proceeding a seizure,also a dream like state its hard to describe.My doc and nuero always say to sit down,but for some reason i always try and fight it and always come of second best by a first round ko,effing epilepsy ill beat you yet!!!

I forgot there has been a few ocassions,not many two or three that i can think of when i have just dropped and gone into a tonic but they are very rare.

I have always had deja vu before a seizure.


my deja vu go something like this: an intense feeling would come over me where as the place, people and even the conservation seems as if this has taken place before.
I become scared; I know to get to a safe place, knowing a seizure is going to come soon.

My auras are a very strange dream that comes into my head. I only remember what this dream is about when I have the aura.
Most often the aura is followed by a simple or complex partial seizure but sometimes I have only had the aura.
