Does anyone else take Trazodone or Sertraline (aka Zoloft)?

I’ve been taking a newish Rx again - Trazodone 50mg as latest pilltime aka bedtime. Basically it has a tendency to make me feel that it’s just a mind control brainwash type of shit based on the fact that my Mom wanted me to get off of another drug - Sertraline 50mg. I have a feeling it has less of a solving process and more of a knock-out process to it. It is giving me more of a “lay down and k.o. and shut tha f*** up” feeling to it.
Also to note - I’m 15 years sober from booze now and recall going to rehab for that and being served about 10lbs of Trazodone per day over a span of time for that. I may have some bad recollective associative effects regarding it.
Another thing to note - I was put on Sertraline a while ago but my mom began complaining about it (for no reason?) and told my psych-counselor guy that I should get on Trazodone (because SHE’s on Trazodone for some totally different reason! Whee! Wtf?)
Sertraline 50mg or Trazodone 50mg?

But to note - Trazodone probably has fewer side effects which can be negative
