I just had this crazy question because i saw a documentary about Schizophrenia caused by chemical imbalances and neuron miscomuniaction.
I'm not smart so i don't know if my question makes any sense.

But i also read that Epilepsy/seizures are caused by dopamine and whatever..and neuron miscomunication. and then there is research about
"they suggest that schizophrenia and epilepsy may share biological roots."

I don't know.just a thought

NO! During a bad TC seizure it could be mistaken for a schizo, but epilepsy definitely does not lead to mental illness. But there are some out there who do have bi-polar and epilepsy and also those with schizophrenia and epilepsy. But just because one has epilepsy doesn't mean it leads to any of these.

In my honest opinion...anything can lead to anything...so yes I believe Epilepsy can lead to Schizophrenia (or vice versa)...reality is a mysterious entity
