Sometimes when I'll be doing some writing on the PC, and I'm in the process of writing a word, a sentence. OK, I'll just give you a random example:

"The seizures had stopped happeninginging so frequently..."

Only after I've completed the sentence do I realize that I "finalized" the word "happening" three times over. Then I correct my lapse.

i sometimes find that i get the letters mixed up without even realising, but i dont repeat the letters in the way that you do

Jeff -- What you describe reminds me of when a CD hangs up and "stutters" for a bit before getting back on track. Do you think it's a seizure or a side effect? Is this a new symptom? Has it been increasing in frequency? Do you have similar glitches when speaking, or is it only when writing?

I mix up letters all the time. For example, I'll write ffocee instead of 'coffee'. Then I realize it and change it. It doesn't last longer than a second or two. I don't know if ti's a seizure thing or just 'a thing' I do. Anyway. It doesn't happen often, but it's a bit frustrating!

I've written sentences that make absolutely no sense whatsoever. It seemed to make sense at the time in my brain but when I wrote it, it came out wrong. I usually felt as if I had an aura

Well, I never really considered that it might be a seizure as I feel like my medications have kept them under wraps for years - well, no grand mals or anything of that sort. But, as you're aware, there are so many different kinds of seizures... but still, I always considered it an effect of the medication I'm taking, at least in my mind, because I feel like my seizures are well controlled. But maybe it is a seizure, I am 'absent' for a moment until I return to myself so I can correct my error.

I feel like it's something that's cropped up these past few years. You know, I was thinking, my lung transplant was in 2008 so I've been taking rejection medication since then - is it possible they could disturb my focus in this way? I can only recall this happening the past few years or so. As for the frequency, well, I guess it's only an occasional thing, not constant.

I think my speech is usually fine, though sometimes my voice does begin to stutter uncontrollably.

Some of the immunosuppressive drugs can have neurological side effects. Tacrolimus, for instance can cause "Headache, tremors, seizures, and change in mental status." If you think your transplant medication might be part of the problem, check in with your doctor.

yup, i write words twice or something or leave words out if i am sounding the sentence out in my head.
or use the wrong word form.
