If anyone is lifting a glass, be so kind as to lift one for me:cheers:I'm not "celebrating" today but I'm sure someone will toast for me!

Today's an official holiday in Boston. Not for St. Patrick's day, but for "Evacuation Day," a revolutionary war holiday that "just happens" to fall on March 17th every year.
People start lining up the bars at 11am!

I'm going to hold off until Saturday when I'm going to an authentic dinner with corned beef and cabbage and soda bread. And lots and lots of Guinness, along with some Jamieson's after dinner. I'll have to pace myself...

awesomesauce!!! EDIT: thanks to occb, this is now a regularly used word.
I want some. as long as there is no haggish or steak and kidney/stout pie, that sounds like a fantastic time. and yes, pace yourself.

corned beef and cabbage is sooooooooooooooooooooo good.

Also Guiness is too, but it's the bestest tasting in Ireland -- they just don't know how to tap it right over here :(

Yay AWESOMESAUCE!
