I'm on Epilim, lamictal and vimpat. I get dizziness and double vision. It's a pain in the neck coz I'm worried I look like a drunk walking around. I also end up with headaches from trying to concentrate on not walking into things...or falling over. When I'm at home I can go back to bed for an hour or more (that's how long it lasts) but it's annoying on other days coz it's kinda interrupting my life.
Anyone else have this problem? What's your strategy to stop it?

On good news, if I stay seizure free till September I can go for my drivers learning permit. *yay*

I get double vision a good bit. My neuro said it is a side effect of one of the medicines I take. I don't remember which one but it could be lamictal because we are both on that.

I know I have trouble walking when I have it too. I look like I'm drunk because I can't walk a strait line. I had double vision during a visit with my neuro once and when he asked me to walk I almost fell over.

Usually the only thing that helps is for me to lay down in the dark with my eyes closed. It may take a few hours for it to go away.

If it's not too bad I can sit and look at one thing. Don't scan the room or look at something close to you then far away. It might go away after about a half hour or a little longer when I do that - but this is only if it's not bad.

Wow....
I wonder if you have outgrown Vimpat? I was taking it for about 2 years. it was amazing for a while and then..... double vision, and spinning like a top.
I have increased Keppra and have undergone a good bit of surgery for a traumatic brain injury...
Otherwise, Happy 2015

On my last visit to the neuro he decreased my Depakote. I don't know if Depakote has a side effect of double vision or not. I really only notice when I get it now is when I've been on the computer for a few hours, so I try not to be.
