Hello forum members,
My son 3 1/2 yo son has epilepsy, and has had seizures (atonic, absence, tonic-clonic) since birth. Fortunately, the seizures are under control now.
However, my son was diagnoed with Autism in May 2012, following exhaustive genetics testing in search of cause for his seizure and severe developmental delay.
Anyway, I stumbled across the research work being undertaken by Dr Dr Aditi Shankardass, who has developed EEG mapping technology to identify underlying seiure activity in around 42% of children with Autism in trials of the technique.
Can anyone tell me if there is any research of this kind being undertaken in Australia, or at least tell me where I can contact an organisation working and developing this diagnostic tool????
Many thanks,
Sean
