in the last 18 months. I had fallen a few times with no memory of falling. Each of these falls were while I was on stairs. Two of them resulted in ER visits. I also had 2 bad spells. I can only explain it as I had heavy pressure on me like bad panic attack. I went hot and the world tilted with tunnel vision. Once this happened while I was driving. Then I realized I needed to see the DR. They did heart tests and a slew of other tests. They they did a EEG and the test results came back abnormal. I saw my PCP today and she thinks I have a seizure disorder. She is sending me to see a Neuro and have a MRI.
I got a copy of my EEG and it says.
TECH SUMMARY
This study was remarkable for 10 hz background rhythm. Occasional bursts of right temporal parietal rhythmic theta activity with sharp waves was noted occasionally seen with phase reversals over the T4 electrode. there was no significant alteration of record with photic stimulation or hyperventilation. Drowsiness and sleep associated with a decrease in alpha rhythm and generalized admixed slowing.
IMPRESSION
this as an abnormal EEG due to the right temporoparietal sharp waves as well as rhythmic theta. These findings suggest the possibility of epileptic tendency emanating from the right temporoparietal region.
What does this mean. I trie to google it. Also I friend of mine says my description of my bad spells sound similar to the aura she gets for migraines. Does anyone have input for me?
