I can't use these things...they freak me out...like literally...I get off of them and the ground doesn't stop moving...basically I feel like I'm still moving when I'm standing still...I was at the gym earlier and got off the "dreadmill" and had to grab onto something because I thought I was gonna fall over...a weird effect nonetheless

Oh well...looks like I have to stick to the bike because for some reason it doesn't effect me the same way :ponder:

Could it be side effects of your medication? I heard a lot of them makes you dizzy sometimes they make me dizzy easier. I use a treadmill at home, and only when my parents are around with wearing a helmet so at least I don't crack my skull or anything + my seizures are under control at the moment.

That happened to me the first couple of times I used a treadmill, long before I had epilepsy. How long have you been using the treadmill?

It's just weird because I'm on the treadmill for about 30 minutes and when I get off I AM STILL MOVING WHEN I'M STANDING STILL...it's not like any kind of dizziness I've felt before...I get this overwhelming sensation that I am moving forward...it's so intense it's like I'm leaving my body or something...elevators only effect me slighty but this is extreme...it's like my brain doesn't register that I have stopped moving...but sometimes I notice I can't tell which way is up, down, left, or right etc....it's like I'm floating in space or something...I'll feel numb and weightless...

I also get an odd sensation when walking over bridges...I can't feel the ground below me...I feel like I'm hovering over it or something...I know I am hypersensitive in general but I wonder if this has to do with my cyst in my brain...oh well

Sounds like "land sickness" http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illusions_of_self-motion#Sea_legs.2C_or_dock_rock
It is benign, and simply warrants being extra cautious when transitioning from a moving state (elevator, escalator, walking on a moving dock, treadmill, etc.) to a stationary one.

No reason to not use the treadmill. Just be sure to warm up slowly (start at a slow walking pace and gradually increase to your desired walking or running pace over a period of at least 3 minutes). Also make sure to cool down completely: decrease the speed gradually over a period of no less than 5 minutes until you are walking at an extremely slow pace.

Always make sure your heart rate is no more than 30% above your resting heart rate before you completely stop the physical activity. It is not uncommon that for those new to working out they need a longer cool down period. Some of the symptoms of land sickness, esp. when tied to physical activity, is related to the increase in blood pressure that occurs when we exercise and then the sudden rush of blood back into the brain when we terminate the exercise. That is one of the reasons for doing warm ups and cool downs in the first place. If you warm up and cool down properly and thoroughly, your body will eventually adapt and the "land sickness" should lessen. If after a couple of months the treadmill is still difficult for you, consider outdoor running, or even skipping. Even in these circumstances, warm ups and cool downs still apply!

Good luck, and I hope things work out for you.

I always do warm ups...I am not new to working out lol

but that was very informative thanks! :)

I feel that way when I drive or ride in a car sometimes if only in car for 10 min. When I get out of car I feel like I'm still moving & I walk like I'm drunk & feel sick. I have Meniere's disease & think that is what causes my problem.

A few times I have felt like the car was still rolling after I pulled into a parking space and had it in park.
