The earliest memory I have is when I was 2/3. I was on a ambulance stretcher being wheeled into the emergency department at an area hospital. It was because I had a bad case of pneumonia. That was the first time I had a seizure on one side of my body.

All I remember is those big metal & glass doors sliding open as they wheeled me into the hospital.

I remember sitting in a playpen with my sister, who is a year older--I had to be under 3. I also have this black and white Instamatic picture of me and my sister and brother on a couch, I was probably not yet 3--I remember this photo shoot because I kept reaching into to gap behind the cushions and pulling out gross couch debris to inspect it, and it was interrupting my mom's photo shoot. I think I still have that picture somewhere!! I have a lot of very early memories--and yet my memory of middle childhood is really bad. My memory in general is bad (join the club, right? :) )
