Learned the difference between video EEG and EEG... they had a camera setup. Funny how I saw it before the testing started and it did not come back into reality until it was all over.

Due to an overzealous Neurology team member, my stay was longer than it should have been. :( The main thing is I had both a gran mal & a complex partial seizure there. They where both caught on video. A Epilepsy Monitoring Unit nurse also witnessed my CPS first hand. My seizures start from the same spot like they did when I had my previous VEEG session in my RTL. All my vital functions are located on the other side. Which makes me a good candidate for surgery.

Next step is to see my Neurologist to discuss surgery.

I was released from the hospital on Monday, so my stay was almost exactly a week. I was taken completely off Keppra (made me WAY too moody) and will eventually be taken off Dilantin and Phenobarbitol too. In the end, the docs want to have me on Vimpat and Onfi.
During my hospital stay I had and MRI and PET scan and had a cluster of 3 seizures. The docs wanted me to have more, but after being on almost no meds I still didn't have them. I couldn't be away from home any longer so the set me free! I go back in 4-6 weeks to find out the results of all my tests. All they can tell me right now is that I DO have E, and its coming from my right frontal lobe. Not sure if I'm a surgery candidate or if I even want surgery. Its a lot to take in all at once.
