Yesterday I had a busy day with uni. By the time I sat down, it was 8pm. I had a strong aura that hit suddenly and went into what I think was a simple partial. I appeared to have waves of complex partials, the first lasting 15mins then in between, my teeth chattered and I was still twitching but I could talk and I was responsive. Two more waves of whatever it was came over and I was jerking and groaning but still mostly conscious. I started going blue and my breathing was erratic so an ambulance was called. All bloods were fine.
As luck would have it, the Epileptologist had a cancellation and I can have an EEG tomorrow!! I can also get in for a consult on the 20th March, much better than late April!
I'm absolutely shattered but I'm going to try and sleep deprive myself responsibly to increase my chances of having a seizure. Do any of you reduce your medication the morning of an EEG? I know it's probably not following protocol but it would really help if I can finally get a seizure detected. Mum and I would hang around near the hospital just incase. Is this being irresponsible?
