Well, for those who didn't see my previous post my eldest daughter (10years old) had an 'episode' on Saturday. She basically passed out and collapsed, however the hospital said that it was unusual for her to be unresponsive for so long (a minute to a minute and a half) for just a fainting episode. They did an ECG, blood tests (including the blood sugar, finger prick test), blood pressure and there were no potential causes found. Due to my epilepsy she needs to have an EEG (just to check if that could have possibly been the cause of it) and that will happen tomorrow afternoon. I have to get her up at 5am for a 3pm EEG so that she is tired and will fall asleep - that will be fun.

Hope it goes well tomorrow -- for both of you. Do you know when you will get results?

Trinity,

Good luck.

Have they done any other tests than you mentioned for any other possible causes?

We don't get the results until our paediatricians appointment on the 13th September. I don't know what other causes (other than those already looked at) that it could be but the tests already mentioned are the only ones she's had. I'm aware of the possibility that it was just fatigue and exhaustion and if that's the case then that's great but we're just trying to cover all the bases.

Well, the EEG went well. The most painful part was her understanding the need to be sleep deprived beforehand. Anyway, when all was said and done I was told (unofficially) by the technician that all looked good but that the neurologist would look at it on Monday. Of course our appointment to see the paediatrician (the hospital will send the results to the paed after the neurologist has written his report) isn't until the 13th September.

Waiting is what I hate the most! I hope you get a good outcome! :)
