I had a bad sleep seizure Friday night, and I'm still woozy...
I'm just wondering, does anyone else get this Elvis hips thing?
the only way it's comfortable to stand is ..
well let me put it this way - Elvis knew how to cope with hip pain - it feels so good to stand, on my left leg lately, and dangle my right leg and do a sort of heel-tap thing with my leg out about 15 degrees.
I'm guessing my hip and femur muscles were particularly active in that they were ramming my femur joints into my hips.
I can't imagine the ecstacy I would probably experience at the moment if I hung from my ankles on one of those "Batman" things.
It's sort of like a quivering vice grip on that kicked-in-the-balls gut sensation.
whee
I've had a lot of "voices" type ~echoey crap along with this one too.

:e:

thoughts and prayers to anyone in Boston

'Fraid I get that all the time in my right hip.Not associated with seizures but from Arthritis unfortunately. I 'do the penguin' every morning I get out of bed until I waddle around a bit. If I sleep on my back I physically can't get out of bed unless my hubby gives me a shove. My doctor was very sympathetic. He told me that my hubby spent the first twenty years trying to get me into bed and now he is going to spend the next twenty trying to get me out (Ha). Where is the justice.

funny :)
ya, but this was very sudden and right after a seizure my girlfriend said I had in the middle of the night - I wet the bed too - yay

I'm thinking I bruised my femur - or rather, my brain and muscles did :(

weird though because I was biking yesterday, low gear because I was still sore, I must have exacerbated it because it is much worse today, but I think the seizure gave me a right femur-head contusion of some sort...

As I said (without the funny) where is the justice. My God, Peter, you must feel like crap.
Maybe if your hip pain doesn't improve it would be worth getting it checked out in case you've done some real damage. You must have an awesome girlfriend. Take care friend. I hope you don't get any more seizures like that one.

I agree with Sandie -- get checked out if the pain doesn't get better, or if it gets worse. Don't push yourself while you're healing. Feel better soon.

I've got a doc's appt tomorrow at noon, my neurologist - I think I can't do Lamictal - I've been on it two weeks and bam I have what I'd say was a massive seizure

I was on Epival and then my neuro put me on Lamictal because I aged out of Epival and had a seizure. Anyway had to go back onto Epival with a chaser of Topirimate because the Lamictal didn't hold me at all. I was seizuring really badly and I don't seizure much at all. So I think your probably right.
Re: your leg - I agree with everyone else I would go see your doctor but also have you ever seen a chiropractor. My doberman knocked me backwards down the stairs (I know crazy 85 lb puppy) and I went to physio for 4 months without any improvement and my massage therapist finally convinced me to go to a chiropractor and I am finally getting some relief. My hips and spine were really out of line. He said that had I come to see him right away it would have been a lot better. I wonder if you have put your hip out of line. Good luck

I've got the Elvis hips too, Petero. Usually before I go to bed, I'll do about 10 minutes of hip stretches to ease the pain a little. It's definitely not a cure all, but it may take the edge off a little. :)

Best of luck to you, my friend!
