Recently I "sort of" left my job. I was working in a kitchen with no breaks, with no air conditioning, with ovens, for 8h. The temp in the space was generally hot, but during a heat wave it was at 37-39 C. After working a night in that heat, I told my employer that I could not work in that type of heat as i would get sick, and it was not a good work enviroment. My last seizure was heat induced, sleep deprivation induced.

I called in to cancel my next shift in decent time, said I would return when it wasn't hot, and offered my services at another store location with air conditioning. In response he said he was not putting me on the schedule until after he renovated the store(air conditioning), and only if he still had room for me on his schedule. I haven't worked since.

As the heat is the only reason I'm not working...and he isn't renovating...

would this be reason for complaint to a board? or i saw disability mentioned elsewhere...is E a disability?

.....

It is counted as a disability. Here in the UK it's defined as A medical issue which may put you at disadvantage of getting a job. (In terms of working) and something which has been going on for more than 3 months and is likely to continue for more than 6 months (for the purposes of disability money)

Perhaps you should have a look into your local laws regarding discrimination.

The only problem is that they can just decide to say that you walked out on your job and therefore it's your fault that you no longer work there. This isn't my opinion, but there are some unscrupulous employers about.

I'm sorry you had such an awful time at work :(
