Does anyone else have both E and dystonia? It is frustrating and hard to tell the difference sometimes. I am going in for a several day eeg video study next month I will have a movment specialist watching the video's as well as the E specialist. My neuro thinks they will give me botox injections in my face. I really do make some crazy faces.

In general dystonia manifests as cramping, frozen muscles, whereas E has more jerking twitching movements. But since both E and dystonia originate in the central nervous system it may be hard to tell them apart, and it's possible they have a related cause. Do you know if your dystonia has a particular origin? (Medication side effect, hypoglycemia, genetic, environmental, trauma are some of the potential causes).

Well actually I do have hypoglycemia and the dystonia started a month after a huge emotional trauma. But that trauma is long gone.
