I don't know if there is a connection between the two but I do know that OCD can be caused post infection (strep, other bacteria, viruses). Check out
Http://pandasnetwork.org for info on how strep can cause OCD. Ignore the "pediatric" part of the name. I am positive that the doc that coined the acronym (? ) would like to change it. You can also google PANDAS and PITANDS. I think "they" want to change the acronym to PANS (something like post-infection autoimmune neuropsyciiatric syndrome).

Thanx hoodie. I went to that site and it made alot of sence.

Hi joey, welcome to CWE!

OCD is uncommon in people with epilepsy, BUT when it does co-occur it's most often with particular kinds of seizures: complex partial seizures that start in the temporal lobe or frontal lobe, or certain other parts of the brain.

Best,
Nakamova
