I was watching tv today and saw this pop up what was about to come up on the 5pm news today. Its about a woman who had an accident when she was a teenager and has seizures on her left side of the brain. she is a new mom, married and goes to the same neurologist I see.

My dr is in this video, so you can hear him talk about how epilepsy affects the brain.

As he is speaking, he tells about how left untreated how it will progress and get worse. Now to me, Im thinking, "Man... youre doing that to me!".....

At this time he's not thinking at all that I have epilepsy, but then my VEEG indicates there is activity of epilepsy. I so badly wanted to shout out "Take your own advise and help me!" while watching the video!

Sorry... I had to get that out!

here's the link if you would like to watch it!

He's not a neurologist, he only plays one on TV. :)

Sounds like your dr. needs his head examined! :)

Well, the TV report was a good one that helped raise some awareness of what people with epilepsy goes through. Too bad, though, that your doctor doesn't practice what he preaches:mad: Plus, with this coverage he'll get postive attention that he doesn't deserve.

This is exacly what was going through my mind when I was watching it. They had two different coverages of the story. The first part was on the 5pm news and the last part was on the 10pm news. Both times I saw him speaking about Epilepsy, and hearing him say with letting seizures go, and not treating them, could make them worse.... I so badly wished to reach my hand through the video and wanted to give him a good "shake" and tell him to wake up!
