Thoughts on this drug?

Can any direct me to a site that discusses the newest drugs available for young children?

My son has had to go off another seizure drug ... He barely got to 30mg and had to be taken off of Topamax.. (still titraiting while waiting for another) ..Was making the change to Lamotrigine and he ended up getting the beginning stages of the rash...so, now he is off of that and only on 15mg of Topamax while waiting to try another.....sigh.

Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

Oh, my son is 4 (newly turned by 2 days) and has tonic clonic frontal absence seizures, if that info helps.

Hi Anna,
I am on epilim. I don't know any sites. It makes me exhausted. I want to sleep all the time and I'm only on a low dose! I hope you find something that works.

Hey :) ...This thread is older than the Keppra thread. His neuro said no to the EPILIM due to my son failing a metabolic panel - drug could cause liver failure. So far so good with the Keppra tho!!!!! My son slept really well last night. I know he is only 4, but its the first time he has slept through the night without tossing, turning, sitting up, screaming, in years....Was nice to see him..rest. :)
