Epival and weight gain

Hi folks music man here
I have been using Epival for approimately 3 years and thankfully no seizures.
That being said i have side efects ( of course) trembling hands, memory loss , speech impaired at times and the big one ... weight gain.

We tried Toprimate and i almost lost my mind ( whats left of it). I was back on Epival and despite exercise and diet the weight gain continues .
I am now thinking of tegretol and of course it has side effects.
Is anyone out there using Tegretol and what side effects are you are experiencing.

Hi Ed -- I haven't tried Tegretol myself. As you note, all the anti-seizure meds seem to have lovely side effects. You might find these threads of interest:

Thanks for the information. i believe that i am beginning to beginning to feel some feel some of the effects right now a rash and fever and drowsiness.
