Yesterday, I was in the local Verizon(phone) location because, I thought the battery in my cell phone had died(it turned out, I was not putting it fully on to the charger base). My cell phone is a flip-phone style cell phone, which Verizon refers to as very basic and, they are trying to phase that style of phone out. In favor of all the 'smartphones'. I don't want my cell phone to be a 'smartphone'. Because I don't want Internet access on my phone, just my computer. Also, While I was there, the 'service person', was sort of like 'oh well', when I mentioned how, the lack of buttons, could cause more tremors from the requirement of finger-intensive input. The 'smartphones' not only require finger-intensive input, the oil from the hands, can start to blur the screen to where even finger-intensive input is no longer possible.

Yeah I dont like the touch phones. I wish mine, which is a LG brand touch phone, was something I didnt choose in march 2011! My contract is up in March 2013, and I just want to get a basic button style phone.

I only have the flip-phone, because of Verizon. I have two LG KG800 slider phones, that I would love to use. They use the GSM technology, which T-Mobile uses. But Verizon has the CDMA technology. Since I don't pay for the phone contract with Verizon, the bill is paid by a family member. Their weak excuse is because of the claim that Verizon has better coverage. When I lived in Minnesota(Nov.'02-Jan.'07), my (ex)fiance n' I had a cell phone contract with a cell phone carrier that used GSM technology.

I NEVER had a dropped call. I am mentioning 'dropped calls', because I have never bought into that garbage.

Just like in airplane crashes being predominantly due to pilot error, 'dropped calls' are predominantly due to user error.

The phone in the picture, is the exact kind of phone I had in Minnesota.

This is the cell phone I have now, that Verizon is trying to phase out:

It is the slider version, that has buttons and is easy for a person with Epilepsy to use. It may seem harder than the Nokia, but it is actually easier.

I hate smartphones too. The movement touch screen thing make me dizzy and sick to my stomache. I like my slider phone.

That is exactly, what my LG Chocolate phones are. I can't use them because, Verizon uses CDMA, and T-Mobile uses GSM.
