Hi guys, I'm on my second day of long term eeg monitoring and was wondering if anyone else felt extremely agitated during their stay..? I got dizzy spells but doctor said that they were minor changes on my eeg and not anything she would prescribe medication for...? I'm have anxiety and am on ativan for, yet it's hard to even get my medication from the nurses. I'm going crazy being here and am hoping maybe I can sign out and do 48 hr at home EEG instead.

I feel so for you, anxiety is such a hard thing to deal with.

Can you find something to distract you -- a book to read, music to listen to, people to chat with? The ativan could help, but keep in mind that it might also suppress any seizure-related brainwaves on the EEG. Hang in there!

Hey Jacquie, let us know how you did with the EEG. I hope you were able to get some helpful information.

Try to stick it out! You're probably just feeling a little cabin fever.
