Ok so I have been struggling with this for a few hours wondering, considering my options. At about 2 o'clock this afternoon my right eye (this is hard to explain) it was like it was falling back into my head, since around 5.30 it seems as thought it can go no further and it feels like the nerves are jumping around in it. To be honest this worried me at first, it still does but for some unexplained reason I am convinced it has something to do with my epilepsy, there are times when it feels like its been tickled. Just wondering has anyone experienced something like this or anything like it. Thanks.

Thank heavens I have never had anything like that. I do hope that it either goes away forever or you are able to find a cause and remedy for it. Keep us posted!

I brought this up before with my GP and I was told it was my imagination.

Why would anyone even think to imagine something like that? Maybe it's happening because of alien rays going into your head! Next time you go to your doc wear a tinfoil hat and tell him it wasn't your imagination, it was the aliens and now you're protected as long as you wear the hat! :)

I like that idea arnie, you would not believe some of the things doctors have said to me over the years and some were really stupid. This seems to have got to its final stage (if you understand me) and its annoying. I really like your idea.

hmmmm :ponder:
as you're about to see your gp be honest that you can't stand the feeling, you know something is wrong and as someone with epilepsy and on e meds it's not an option to ignore changes in the body. our visual cortex and receiving/processing visual information is done in our occipital lobe, an mri of that particular location should show if something is wrong, seizure activity etc. have they ever shown to you the location of your szs?
if it feels like nerves are awry and your eye is going bonkers it needs to be addressed, and there is also a chance there is a major reaction to a medication (if i remember correctly you're on a new one right? vimpat isn't it? that med f'd with my eyes bad :()

:hugs:

I wound up having to get glasses after the vimpat they have now put me on zebinix another new drug. No they never found exactly where they begin even with all the MRI and CT scans. The last neurologist wanted to give me botox for the twiching in my face, the GP told me "the thing with your eye as you call it, has no bearing on your epilepsy or related" I am worried about the reaction part, they did not believe me about my hand or eyes the last time. There was one major row.

I dunno, Q. That all sounds pretty far-fetched. I think I'd go with the aliens. :)

what's far-fetched, counting on the medical system or the occipital lobe?

arnie

Qtowngirl could be on to something here, it's not that far fetched as you say, actually she has something there.

well it's just my nature to be on the 'learning' side of things. plus reality :roflmao:
but as they say nothing's impossible maybe arn's onto something with his alien conspiracy...

qtowngirl

I like the alien theory myself a lot. I also put stock in what you said a lot. So for You my friend and Arnie a very very big thank you. Keep the ideas coming please.

You guys hadn't made your hats yet?!

Some theories:

Since the odd feeling is only in the right eye, that suggests that the sensation could be related to something going on with the opthalmic nerve on that side of the face. It could be seizure activity, or a reaction to damage or swelling in that area. Is your vision in that eye okay?

The unusual sensation in your eye might be due to a side effect of the Zebinix. Zebinix can cause low blood sodium levels, which in turn can cause excess fluid build-up and swelling in the legs, ankles or face and even the brain. If there's fluid build up around the eyes that might make it feel like your eye is sinking. It would be more likely to affect both eyes rather than one, but it's probably a good idea to have your blood sodium level tested at the doc's just in case.

It could also be related so something going on in your sinuses -- if they are inflamed that could pressure on the eye socket and make it throb.

oh sperlo, that's awesome. just the laugh i needed this morning :roflmao:
