I've heard 23andme mentioned as a place to get DNA testing done by some on this site as perhaps a way to gather more info that could be helpful in determining which AED might be more easily tolerated individually.

I saw this article on NBC that says the FDA has tried to get info from the company to better determine the accuracy of their tests but has been unable to get them to respond properly. So, the FDA has isssued a pretty strong warning to them to stop marketing these products.

Worth knowing. I wish the FDA could be similarly rigorous with some of the Big Pharma companies...
