Last Cup it was Spain-Netherlands, so it would be nice to see some new faces... Of course these teams are all traditional heavyweights. It would have been interesting if Costa Rica had made it through to the semis..

Have you not heard, Ireland is in the mist of a population crisis, we are trying to recruit the money is not great but the weather is bad.

Not a bad first half so far both teams seem to testing each other the second half should be good.
 
Not Irish-American, I'm more of a mixed-breed than that. American football is beautiful too! (I'm in Massachusetts -- our football is pretty decent). And unlike soccer, it's designed for TV. But it's a new sport compared to gaelic football.

Second half of the game, still scoreless, the crowd is getting antsy...
 
Its heading for extra time, I think it will go to penalty's. If it does Argentina have won.

Sorry katzy but the Netherlands have a bad reputation in penalty's. Robben is just after missing the chance of the game.

Yes I did and that is part of the reason I am saying it again, I want the Netherlands to win as well so I am not going to jinks them I hope.

Well its gone to penalty's. This is going to be a game of nerves for the keepers. I am a bit superstitious at times.
 
That's it Argentina are in the final. Its a repeat of the 1990 world cup final, not a brilliant game as such but it was still enjoyable a lot better than yesterday. Lets hope Argentina win on Sunday.

I'm for Argentina, too. There's no love lost between Brazil and Argentina, but I would rather see Argentina than Germany.

wow, what a heartbreaker for the Netherlands.
Lousy pk's and they're out.

I don't think Messi can beat Germany.
