I have an appointment with my GP tomorrow morning at 9:30 am. I am going to request an MRI and a Video EEG. Anything else I should request? They can't refuse a request I hope. I need to get to the bottom of these seizures and starts meds if necessary especially after Friday night and all day Saturday. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You might ask for some kind of short-term prescription to use on an emergency basis (My neuro prescribes a small anount of ativan for this purpose.).

Hope things go well tomorrow.

Ditto the ativan, I have a backup around as well, for bad days. Also, maybe specifically request with all the tests to also have a referral to a neurologist, being that they are more experienced and more knowledgeable (usually, haha) than a GP.

Oh yea that would be good to do. I guess if I have to ride 1 or 2 hours to get to my neurologist I have to. I'm sure it would be worth the ride.

I ask for copies of any and all test. I keep them all with my notes. attached in a file cabinet in my office.

Man, do I ever wish I had done this back in the day. Doctors are always asking to see my MRI and EEG results, and I don't have them. =/ I was a teen at the time, I only remember the doctor's last name. Totally lame.
