My daughter saw her neurologist for the first time this Monday and WOW! What a great man!!! It was worth the wait to be able to get in to see him. Our appointment was almost two hours!! Answered all of our questions, drew pictures, talked to us like real people. I cannot say enough. I kind of was still in denial thinking maybe this would just be a one time deal, but in the back of my mind I knew it wouldn't be. Sad for my peanut because she already has so many other crappy things to deal with, but I think I take it harder than she does..right now, I'm sure that will change. It sure helps to know we have a fantastic team to work with and that I have "fantasticer" :-) people on here to talk to. Had purple on today!!:e:
 
So pleased you found a neurologist with a 'bedside manner'. None of us know what epilepsy is about before we see the neurologist and I was (and still am to some degree) very naive.
This forum is great because I felt like I was the only person on the face of the earth displaying my weird symptoms only to find that they were more common than I thought.
I'm so pleased you are part of our family and I sincerely hope your daughter will now get the relief she needs to make life more comfortable for her. Take care

I'm glad to hear you're happy with the neuro your daughter was able to see. Seeing the right dr. does make a HUGE world of difference in treatment! Glad he was able to answer your questions and treated you like a real person and not another number.
 
That's wonderful! Having a doc you can trust and feel comfortable with makes the rocky road of epilepsy quite a bit smoother...
