Well. Today was my first day under county system which ive been waiting for for ALONG time as I have been paying out of pocket.
So i get into USC which is awesome cause it has its own epilepsy center.
I got to the center and registered at the clinic. It was not set up how I thought. At first you basically come on a first in first served kinda thing.
Saw a Neuro, she was good. I have to have another EEG and MRI done since its been a while. I had prepared in advance and was SO PROUD for doing that. I had written down when everything started and my symptoms and a medicine history.
Was avery productive appointment. And great that the neuros there all specialise in epielspy .. or are training to.
HOWEVER I do miss my old Neurologists office.. and the comfort.. it was not so much a "clicnical environment" I miss having the "green room" because I have sensory issues.
I did well. Was also scared I would not sleep so well cause I had to get up early and thought maybe i woud have a seizure.. but I didnt.
feel great that now I dont have to rely on a ride .. I know the bus route now. I feel good about things.
Now on I have my appointments set up !
MY EEG IS ON MY FREAKIN BIRTHDAY !!! my next Neuro app is a week after that. But Im guessing (and will check) if I have probs in the meantime I can walk into the clinic on a first in first served basis again.
