I received some flaxseed oil as a white elephant gift last night and I'm actually pretty happy about it!

I'm constantly looking for anything to help with my seizures and my migraines. Has anyone noticed any pros of flaxseed oil? Any cons?

Right now I eat dairy free (I have a mild-moderate dairy allergy), and am on Keppra XR 500mg SID that controlsy seizures well but not entirely. I also take Trazodone 50mg to sleep at night and Citalopram 20mg to end the Kepprage. I don't like taking meds for meds but Keppra is the only thing that's controlled my seizures at all and it's worth it to me.

I also take a daily multivitamin and magnesium for migraines. And I see a chiropractor that really has helped phenomenally.

Anyway, please let me know your experience! Thanks!

Interesting, been taking for a month myself before I suggest to my Son with E,

had to stop as it was giving me real stomach problems....but it’s one of the ultimo omega 3 sources but also has omega-6 fatty acids so can be dodgy for E…3 fine, 6 not…

Hi, I have lots of flax oil in my diet. I love it and make sure to buy the good stuff. (refrigerated is better). Barleane's is the best stuff. You can't over do that stuff. I have found it to be great for energy and headaches and memory and more i love it and it is a worthwhile expense in my low income budget. It has good for my son's ADD too. Best of luck, let us know how it turns out for you. PS A quality multi vitamin has helped lots with some side effects of keppra but i am now switching to lamotrigine. SP? This is a long process because you have to gradually increase it and keep taking keppra until... Now on both. No seizures at all. I am worried about meds being caustic..

Thanks!!

It's Trader Joe's brand liquid. I'm hoping its ok. I was going to start putting it in my morning smoothies.

The multivitamin and magnesium have made a HUGE difference in both my epilepsy and migraines so I'm really looking forward to seeing if this helps.

If it does I'll definitely go for a better brand!
