It was my birthday, and I was in my parents bedroom watching it on the only TV in the house. I was 15. It was a very exciting time. Now we barely even notice when there is a rocket into space. Bet there are few teens that know there is a robot on Mars today.

You never answered my question Hawke?

I don't know where I was. I don't remember when Neil Armstrong walked the moon.

Well I was in front of the B&W TV Set with
Rabbit Ears when Neil walked on the moon.

feel suddenly so young today, thanx!
Graduated in '87 :scholar:
I was only 21 days old when Neil set foot on the moon so really don't know where I was that day.

Boy, do I feel out of loop and really young... When Neil Armstrong walked on the moon I was just a twinkle in my Mother's young mind. (she was 13) I wasn't born for another 11 years.

I was one and a half years old when Neil Armstrong walked on the moon. Can't say that I have a vivid memory of watching it live.

I was sweet sixteen and babysitting my neices that night. But you can bet I was glued to that COLOR TV

I was a living 3 month, 6 day old production of my dad's sperm....I remember that day soooo well :roflmao:

I know exactly where I was when Neil Armstrong did the moon walk.
I know where I was when Johnny Carson did it on his show!

Well, I

do remember Daddy going out and buying a brand new color TV to watch the whole thing on that night....

Sitting 3 feet from the TV

I was at my great aunt's house and was only 8. I remember it well though. What an amazing thing back in those early technology days. I have more computing power in my laptop than NASA had for that entire mission.

By the way Neil Armstrong grew up pretty close to me, though quite older. He still lives in Ohio close to Cincinnati. Not far from where the Wright Brothers lived and invented their planes. The first flight was in North Carolina, but the plane was built here and most later flights were all in Dayton Ohio.

:clap:We are quite proud of our aviation history. They both appear on our state quarter that was issued a few years ago.
