Hello,

My husband has been seizure free for 8 months now and is in the process of trying to get his license back in Ontario, Canada.

His seizures were determined to be heart related - v-tach runs and he was treated - stents were put in to allow more oxygen to his heart.

His neurologist wrote in a good letter but said that his heart doctors will keep them informed and Mike received a letter from the transportation board requesting more information.

Who should he get to send in the report - he has 2 heart doctors or should his family doctor write the report as she attends to his whole health in general and has copies of his heart tests?

Anyone gone through this before? Any advice?

Thank you so much.
Sue

You could ask the transportation board -- they might have a preference as to whether the specialists or the GP provide the info they are seeking. My guess is that the heart doctors may be who they want to hear from, since the neurologist referenced them in his letter.

Oh, and it's great that your husband is now seizure-free since they figured out was going on!
