Recently my husband and I were out with his son who's seen me have a ton of seizures, only partials. We were talking about what I do during them. Like when I just sit and stare or the funny things, the list goes on with that one.

His son said "I never knew those were a seizure you were having until I saw you have them and was told. I only thought there was one type of seizure, when you shake." I'm glad he learned something from me and I hope he's told other people about it so they know too.

To be honest I never knew there were more than one type of seizure. If I saw someone having a partial I'd know something wasn't right but I'd probably think the person was drunk or high on drugs.

Before I found out I had temporal lobe epilepsy I also only new of tonic clonic seizures, after doing a lot of studying I was very surprised to learn how many types of seizures and epilepsy syndromes there actually are.
