I'm actually getting better. Here are the figures:
April seizures by week: 5, 4, and 10 (which was a serious improvement on the six months preceding)
May seizures by week: 0, 1, 0
Can you believe that? On top of that, my memory is better than it has been for two years. I am known for being able to watch a movie twice in two weeks without any memory of it, and this last week I watched a movie I'd watched in the last month and remembered ALL of it. The second time was actually BORING. That's unheard of. I've had the memory to track other people's lives--the dates of their appointments, their work schedules, that sort of thing, where two months ago I couldn't keep track of my own schedule on the same day.
And the oddest part about it is that it's Phenytoin and Neurontin that are doing the trick. One drug was first synthesised in 1918, the other is not exactly known for its efficacy with TC seizures. I haven't even had any tonics for the last week.
On top of that, I have been going out when EVER I feel like it. I can decide in a moment that I feel like socialising and off I go. So I've been seeing people every day, and last month I was desperately lonely because I could barely stand up.
And I've also noticed that, after about three or four years of having the habit of lying down while I read or relax, I now sit up. I thought the lying down was just a preference of mine but clearly it was because I just wasn't all that well. I'm sleeping at night, I'm working like a star, my clients are happy, I'm not having absence seizures. It's amazing. It happened so quickly.
