The MRI came back clear, but no answers as to why my hands feet, and legs and face get numb, and get the creepy crawlies, so now i have to wait till july 24th to see my neuro to get his thoughts, and he wants me to get the back injections to see if they help with the back pain, I'm still on the fence with that though.
but thought I'd update everyone like I said I would about my MRI Hope everyone has a wonderful day, its hot and humid here in MN.

Topamax. ;)
Seriously, that stuff is terrible about causing numbness. And for me it didn't matter how adjusted I got to the med, it would come and go as it pleased. Sometimes it wouldn't be numb at all, other times it'd stick around for a week straight.

At least it's not MS though! In the long run, that's a very good thing :)

very true he's talked about taking me off it I find out next month and he's talking about upping my keppra to so next month I find out more so here's to hoping everything works out for the best! thanks silat!

Are you still on the 1,000 mg dose that your "About Me" says you're on for Keppra?
That's a fairly low dose overall, so you have room to adjust it up. :)

Seems like I read in another post that they tested your glucose levels, too?
Sometimes low blood sugar can cause this. I also have diabetes and am already suffering from neuropathy on top of everything else. My endocrinologist mentioned taking an AED for it if I wanted, but I said, "No thanks, I'm already drugged enough." Some drugs help it, some make it worse. I am taking 200 mgs. of Topomax and 3000 mgs. of Keppra. In the mornings, my feet are numb and sometimes I get these fire-like feelings that make me want to scream and I have to sit for a moment, then it is gone.

thank cint, I get these at all times of the day, sitting standing, mornign noon, night after eating before eating, so i'm at a loss, so I have no clue and even after looking back at my journal I have no reason as to whats causing them to come on.
thanks to the help everyone!

Overall, it's good news that there's nothing on the MRI -- you don't want the kinds of problems that can show up there...

I'm just still wondering and want to know whats going on and whyI'm having all these issues and nobody's been able to give me any answers for so many years and I finally got a DX seizures and PNES but still want to know more since there is so much more going on.
thanks again everyone

Hurray to a clear MRI! I know that any answers would be good ones at this point but it's at least one thing to check off the list.
Our bodies are so complex. One thing effects another and so on and so on.
We should be like those see through people in those older commercials and dr.s could tell us what was coming a mile away. Damn skin. Please don't take offense to that! I get giddy when I'm tired.
But of course you want to know more! Knowledge=power.
But I'll stop while I'm ahead.

lol I hear ya LJ I dont take offense to much i have a thick skin and it takes a lot to get me going unless your my landlord then its .00000000001seconds and I;m gone rofl, but thanks for the good thoughts and replies everyone

You mean the brain MRI right? I think they should order a neck or back MRI. I see a spine surgeon for issues with spine injuries. I remember you talking about back injuries. Maybe you need one more doctor in the mix... LOL... greeeeeat :)

Excellent news that this MRI is clear.

I've seen another new back doc at the same clinic that I went to before and now I want a new MRI for MS lesions in my spine LOL Brain was clean now I DEMAND my BACK be checked!
ROFL squeaky wheel is back!
And the new neuro said try the injections just to see how they do, still worried they'll screw it up and here comes the wheel chair of justice (inside joke with a griend of mine) but thats my biggest concern is that they'll mess it up.
I thank everyone here and am glad I found CWE its my home away from home.

Mike

I am so happy that your MRI was clear! I also agree that you should probably get the neck and spine if you can. I didn't realize that you live in St. Paul. My eldest son lives there! He is the station manager of the public access channel :)
