Well, I had a TC seizure today, after going just over 3 years since the last one. I've still had partials, and partial complexes, but they've been under control for a good amount of time now, but TC's are very rare for me to have, so this was very unexpected for me.
I also had it during a family get-together, so I about gave everyone in my family heart attacks. This was the first time any of them had ever witnessed a TC seizure. All my other ones happened in public, and they weren't there. Fantastic timing on the seizures part...
A few bruises, a few scrapes, no big deal really. I'm still in a mental fog for the most part, but that'll clear up eventually.
The most memorable part of the whole thing was my cousin. She's 5 years old. The first thing I remember after I started to come out of it was her sitting next to me on the floor.
She said, "Hey, you cut your arm when you fell!"
I said, "Did I?"
And then she said, "Yeah! You fell, and then you were squirming really bad and you were bleeding! So I waited til you stopped squirming and while everyone was scared I put a band-aid on it!" She seemed very very excited about this and pointed down at my wrist.
I looked down at my arm, and sure enough, just above my wrist, there was a My Little Pony band-aid.
She'd never seen, heard of, or was aware of what a seizure even was... and her reaction was, "He's bleeding, I had better put a band-aid on it"
I think when she gets older, I'm gonna recommend she consider becoming a nurse. She seems like she may have potential
I just thought I'd share this with you all. I thought she was adorable.
