My appendix was removed 3 weeks ago. Last night I had a seizure no idea what type as I was in bed then came round with a migraine and all confused. We weren't sure at first but doctor says it was definately my epilepsy and some kind of seizure. I couldn't remember things like where mum was. Still not right today. I don't think it was a tonic clonic this time, we think it was some other kind of seizure. Whatever type of seizure it was it chose a good time as I was in bed. Took the dog out for a wee this morning and my next door neighbour I think it was said as I was binning a poo bag and saying Buddy I can't find your lead where is your lead neighbour walked over and said are you ok, so I said I can't find my dogs lead and she said it's in your hand love. She knows I have epilepsy and asked if I had a seizure and I said not sure then she said think you have love, I think it's affected your brain. I thought well duh that is what it does. That is a few too many seizures.

Sorry to hear that, Buddy. I had a small one the other night too; my husband didn't notice it. Earlier in the night, I slipped out of a rolling desk chair- I leaned forward and it came out from under me. I started falling asleep during a movie later around 5-6am and it felt like a seizure. Is it possible to dream one happened and it not have happened? I see my neurologist in a couple of months. Since he turned the settings up on my VNS and added Lorazepam for breakthrough seizures in June, I've had 8 total (instead of 8-10 each month).

That's tough to have, especially when you're also recovering from appendix surgery.

Hope you both feel better!

My epilepsy just doesn't want to be controlled this year. Buddy again knew it was coming he tried to warn me again. I need to take notice of him seriously. Hey epilepsy you will not win. Looks like we will be uping my levi what ever the fancy name my keppra has again, I'm already on 750mg.

My neurologist gave me clobazam for when I get a warning whether it be my flashing lights that aren't there or my dog to take for a few days at night to stop any seizures. This time I only started it after I had the seizure sadly but touch wood it seems to be saying epilepsy we will have no more seizures. A few seizures too many this year.
