Valentines Day is not just for lovers. The celebration in honor of the patron saint of lovers, St. Valentine, takes on greater meaning when you consider he is also the patron saint of epilepsy

Pope Gregory XVI was so impressed by the preaching of the Carmelite priest Father Spratt he gave him some of the remains of St.Valentine. They lie in the Carmelite Church in Whitefriars Street. Many couples come here on the 14th February to have their relationship blessed.
