I have only taken this new anti-depression medic. Viibryd for 2 days.

I take at lunch (my heaviest meal) then AFTER supper at 6:00PM, ---this feeling will come over at once, my energy drops like a rock, I can not concentrate. For example last night after I feel the energy leaving my body, I was trying to push myself with paying my bills. I couldn't match my receipts with correct statement. I kept trying, knowing I knew what to do, then realize I will making a mess of this. I put everything down, so it's waiting on me to do.

This feeling last about 1 hour to 2 hours, then all goes by to normal.

I am going to put a call into my Dr. this AM. I just needed to ask you all, the ones I count on.

It's hard sorting out side effects when starting a new medication. Hard for you, hard for your doctor. Something that might help as a communication tool is keeping a diary of when you take the medication, when you experience the symptom, and when it goes away. Then she can see the cause and effect relationship.

Here's some info from the Viibryd page on Drugs.com

All medicines may cause side effects, but many people have no, or minor, side effects. Check with your doctor if any of these most COMMON side effects persist or become bothersome when using Viibryd:

Severe allergic reactions (rash; hives; itching; difficulty breathing; tightness in the chest; swelling of the mouth, face, lips, or tongue); behavior changes; black, tarry, or bloody stools; bloody or dark urine; blurred vision; decreased coordination; fainting; hallucinations; irregular heartbeat; new or worsening agitation, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, aggressiveness, impulsiveness, irritability, hostility, exaggerated feeling of well-being, restlessness, trouble sleeping, or inability to sit still; seizures; severe or persistent dizziness; suicidal thoughts or actions; symptoms of low blood sodium levels (eg, confusion, severe or persistent headache, trouble concentrating, memory problems, weakness, unsteadiness, sluggishness); tremor; unusual bruising or bleeding; vomit that looks like coffee grounds.

This is not a complete list of all side effects that may occur. If you have questions about side effects, contact your health care provider. Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. To report side effects to the appropriate agency, please read the Guide to Reporting Problems to FDA.

Also,

To make sure you can safely take Viibryd, tell your doctor if you have any of these other conditions:
- Seizures or epilepsy;

Many drugs can interact with Viibryd. Below is just a partial list. Tell your doctor if you are using:
- Seizure medication such as carbamazepine (Carbatrol, Equetro, Tegretol), felbamate (Felbatol), oxcarbazepine (Trileptal), phenytoin (Dilantin), or primidone (Mysoline).

Thanks Endless, I would think he knows I'm on Dilantin, I have that on my paperwork and he knows it was my neur. that suggested I see him (psychia) forgive the spelling.

I put a call in to him this AM, waiting for him to call me back.

I had looked this medic. on the internet, however I thankful you sent it to me. I overlooked the trouble concentrating and the weakness also.

I have been on Viibryd now for around 3 weeks (10mg) I have notice in the last 2 or 3 days that in the afternoon I start get more anxious and a feeling that I could have a seizure. It has not gone into a seizure nor have I had the deja uv.
I have a call into my Psychiatrist now, I'm scare he will up the dose therefore bringing on a seizure.

I don't which is worse the overwhelmingly depression or the seizures.

I have had only 1 seizure since last Oct. 18th.

Are you feeling better otherwise, or is it all bad with the Viibryd?

The depression improve on the 1st day of taking Viibryd, but then after 3 weeks I started having the feeling that I could have a seizure and my anxiety got worse as the day went on.

I would feel like myself about 30 min. each morning after I took this medic. then sometime in late afternoon it was down hill.

Now my psychiatrist called told me to take 5 mg. a day of the Viibryd and he is calling in Vistaril for my anxiety.

My Pharmacist said he has never seen someone so sensitive to so many medic. I think he is tried of me.

HEREEEE I go again.

I know this is an old post but just wondering, are you still taking Viibryd?
I started taking it not too long ago when I was told I have taken just about every other anti-depressant there is and I was out of options. I started on 10mg but had a horrible headache side effect that kept getting worse, along with some other side effects. I couldn't stand the 23 hour a day headaches though and went off it cold turkey. I just recently restarted at a lower dose of 5mg. Not working as well as the 10mg did for me but less side effects and it is working a little. Even now in 2015 not that many Drs seem to know too much about viibryd though.
