Along with another migraine I today I had a warning/aura which is the usual warning I used to get seconds before a seizure though didn't get it last year, flashing lights that aren't really there are my warnings, so I called Buddy to me and kept him with me remembering last years seizure, that's why Buddy acted so weird he was trying to tell me so this time I watched him closely, he didn't act weird and nothing happened I don't think, no seizure as far as I'm aware. The warning made mum 100% sure my seizures aren't fully controlled. We know one thing for sure if I'm having seizures they seem to be happening at night. Epilepsy you are a nasty thing to deal with do you know that.

Hi Buddy's Owner,

Years ago before the seizures I started having migraines and that in turn led to seizures. Just like you I have the flashing lights and a zig zag design of colors of the rainbow flashing back and forth from one eye to the other, my neurosurgeon told me that was a seizure starting in the optical lobe.
From what I have been taught about dogs than can tell a person is going to have a seizure this happens because they can smell a scent our body gives off before the seizure happens but we can't smell that scent. I find it very interesting how some animals can tell when a person is going to have a seizure before it happens. Here's wishing you only the best and May God Bless You!

Yes I was told my my old neurologist doctor Cooper when he was weaning me off tegretol a dog is a good thing to have around because they smell a scent when humans are going to have a seizure. Well Buddy isn't a trained seizure alert dog and he knew last year I was going to have one.

yes, I hope it's "only" a migraine, and that you get relief quickly.

I only ever get migraines after seizures and I know as well that migrains and seizures/epilepsy are close cousins. This happened once before years ago I was on tegretol at the time and I was getting migraines regular so neurologist then said ok I think you are having seizures still lets put you on a higher dose and my migraines stopped. Epilepsy if this is you you think your being clever well your not. Buddy has been very good.
