Hi,
Will these headaches I'm having ever end?! I've been on Topiramate for about a year and a half and they did help initially but they don't seem as effective anymore. I was put on Nortiptalyne as well as and the hospital took me off them and replaced them with Lamictal when they diagnosed me with partial seizures. I would just like one day headache free, just one! Is that really too much to ask?! My Neurologist has banned me from taking any other pain relief as he said it stops Topiramate from working effectively and I've kept to that. I'm still have the partials most days which I know isn't helping but c'mon, enough is enough :(

I take Depakote, Tegretol, Keppra and Lamictal.

After a good bit of my seizures I'll have a very strong headache, migraine you could probably say. They would hast for hours. I only have these headaches after seizures they aren't an 'any time' thing.

I've tried just about every type of medicine out there - over the counter, prescription pain meds (like Vicodin) to meds specifically made for headaches but nothing worked, or even helped a little. Pain meds in general don't seem to work for me at all though.

The only thing that I find helps some is to put an ice pack on my head, with something covering my eyes so there's no light coming I'll usually fall asleep. I may put headphones in to block out any noise. When I wake up the headache may be gone or it may not.

You may want to try seeing a dr who specializes in headaches. I did and she gave me medicine and a shot to take when the headache comes on. Even though it didn't help me it may help you.
