All this time I’ve been somewhat proud of my stamina when exerting myself. I’m an active person and always have been. At times I can feel my breath and heart beating. I don’t have to “catch my breath”. It’s great, but, I can tell it’s just not normal.

In people with epilepsy, heart rate variability (HRV) is typically lower than in healthy individuals, indicating an imbalance in the autonomic nervous system and potentially signifying a higher risk of sudden unexpected death in epilepsy (SUDEP); this reduced HRV is particularly observed in patients with treatment-resistant epilepsy or temporal lobe epilepsy.
