I think it has anyway lol. Had seizures last night I think they were pretty bad and I had like a astral projection thing or something like I could see myself having them. Anyone experience that? They were Grand Mals so that seems odd. Couldn't breathe after one of them and tried to suffocate myself with my pillow in another one. It was really odd to be watching it like it wasn't me it was a movie...hmm? No control over it. I guess I am puzzled as to how I saw myself having it, but I know I did because my bf told me I did. And I couldn't talk this morning so that's also how I know. But, its a blur at the same time. Sorry its hard to explain. Very tired and sore today and the side of my tongue is slightly swollen. My bf was teasing and said he was gonna play the harlem shake if I have one at in public >-> I really hate that stupid song its annoying. I mean he could at least put something go on like some techno or rave music sheesh. Anyway I had like 4 seizures, but I was out this morning slept til 9: 30 when my bf woke me so I could watch the kids for a minute while he went to the store.

hi mommy, sorry to hear :(
that topic has been talked about quite a bit on here, and quite the debate tbh. i'm on the side that adamantly believes it wasn't a grand mal. for many decades it's been defined that grand mals are the worst type of seizure as it is full unconsciousness. however there are over 40 types of szs and some of them are very similar to others, what it really requires is much research (or a neuro who is very educated on this, almost like an epileptologist, but that's rare to find). to add to that, i'll put aside my disbelief in a partially conscious grand mal... at the very least with partial unconsciousness (same as a complex partial) there won't be a memory after of what took place.
just to 'see' last time this topic was hot, i did some research (a fave thing), and for the most part there was no clarification that g.m's could be 'partially conscious,' and the few that did said that it was 'undefined' or possible from what they've researched but still inconclusive as a seizure fact.
i hope the very best for you, and can say from my first partial sz at age 15 to brain surgery at 34, the BEST thing is consistent research, with docs... with peer-review journals and studies... and as well, with yourself and those around you. note everything and anything. those of us with e don't have the luxury of 'letting the doc' figure it out.
we help ourselves survive, and tho i fully believe that wasn't a grand mal, it was still something very serious. big hugs my dear.

Thanks very much q. It was very odd and I will definitely do some research. I'm sure I can find information that would relate. Still on the hunt for a diagnosis. I hate the doctors going back and forth about it is e, but 2 months later its not, etc, etc...oh well ig
