Hi everyone

We have a son with autism that has recently been diagnosed with photosensitive epilepsy.
We were wanting some help/opinions on medication - at the moment he is on Clobazam & Epilim. And glasses - we have heard Noir U80s are great for blocking out the light outdoors but were wanting help/opinions of others too.

Looking forward to hearing from you! :)

Hi, hello and

how do you do? It's great to "meet" you!:banana:

Welcome to CWE, where Mr B has made us an AWESOME home to hang out in. Lots of nooks and crannies to check out, with plenty of information......

E patients that are photosensitive tend to find help if the lenses of their glasses are a polarized, blue lens........ You will need to check with the eye doctor about that. Not TINTing them that color, but that the whole lens is actually blue.......

Hello om mani - Welcome to CWE
I do not have any experience with those meds. I have found diet and neurofeedback to help my daughter. I have a son with Asperger's and nutritional changes have also helped him a lot.

Hi Meetz & RobinN

Thank you so much for your welcome!

We have heard about blue lensed glasses and have looked at Noir U81s which are actually purple, do you have any info on other glasses or know anyone that uses coloured lenses?

At the moment with the medication my son is on he i eating all the time & getting food into him is important (so we are told!) but hopefully later on we can look at some nutritional changes. Have you cut certain products out of their diets?

Thanks heaps ladies! :)

I have cut gluten, casein, soy and corn.
I have a teen so there are some "cheats", but nutrition has played a huge role in my daughters healing.

I, too

have cut gluten, lactose, soy and a few other things out. It has helped immensely........ I try to follow the GARD diet.
