My name is Mike and I have had seizures off and on for 17 years. The cause, scar tissue from brain surgery back in 1990. Reason for the surgery was because of an abscess around

the brain that needed to be drained and removed. Thus all because of a sinus infection that started it all. From 97-00 had 3 yr remission while taking drug FELBATOL, but was taken off of it
due to it causing APLASTIC ANEMIA in people. Since being off it, I started with the Grand Mal in 2007. Since the Grand Mal started I've had the VNS implanted with not much success and

had unsuccessful brain surgery last year! But now back on the drug Felbatol and feeling another remission coming soon!

P.S. Always looking for friends with my prob, be glad to answer any questions. Also would be nice to possibly have questions of my own answered on occasion. :shake:

Hi, Mike,

Welcome!

You have found LOTS of people with seizures, just like you have. You are in very good company. Everybody here has different causes for their seizures. I wouldn't be surprised if you find a person or two who has them because of an old sinus infection.

Make yourself at home and look around. I'm glad you found us. :)
