I'm plain scared, folks. This is ridiculous. I've been trying to craft an introduction that says just enough about me...but not too much. I don't know who I'm trying to impress. Enough of this.

I'm 42. I have a seizure disorder secondary to an AVM. Over the last two months I've been taking 400 mg Dilantin/day. I've also had 3 seizures. For the 16 years prior, I'd been taking nothing, and I'd been seizure-free. I was more concerned with drinking and wasn't thinking of my health. I have over 3 years sober today.

I just started a new job and my health insurance will kick in next month. I'll get under the care of my old Neurologist. I'm glad I found this site.

Hi and welcome,

glad to read that you are sober, and that you will be seeing your Neur. when your insur. starts.

Welcome to C.W.E you will find we can all relate in some way so do not worry about trying to impress. Ask what you want and we will try to help but you have to do the same, even I might need your advice.

Hi mikea, welcome to CWE!

Congrats on being sober! I ope you can get seizure-free too. Sounds like you have a suspicion that the Dilantin isn't helping, and is possible making things worse. Should be Topic A when you get in to see your neuro.

Best,
Nakamova
