Hi,
I'm new at this (posting) so please have patience with me. I was originally diagnosed with "non-specific" seizure disorder when I was 18 months old, about 1975. When I was a kid I was on adult doses of depokote and tegretal to attempt seizure control, it sort of worked. I went into remission a couple of times but it only lasted 2 years at the longest. Since reaching adulthood I've been able to drive, work, get married..... all the normal stuff all while trying to explain to Neurologist after Neurologist that my seizures don't fit in the box. Tried many more meds that stopped working after 2-5 years. Seizures have recently went completely bonkers and am now diagnosed with drug resistant /refracotory epilepsy. Currently taking Vimpat which is sort of working, better than the last combo anyways :-)

Hey Froggy,

Welcome. I don't know if any of our seizures "fit in the box". We just don't like to fit in. :D
I've had my share of small problems with the medicine not working, but Vimpat really nailed the problem and I have been controlled since we got the levels ironed out. I'm very happy with it. I've been lucky enough to live a normal life as well. Talking to people here has really made me appreciate that.

Welcome again. Sounds like you'll fit right in.
