Hi everyone... My name is Haley and im 19 years old. I have been epileptic since i was 14 months and i have seizures because i was pushed off of a porch and i clipped my temple on a tree stump. I am on two medicines, both twice a day; i have been in ICU 4 times; i have had two siezures in the middle of a class in highschool; so yea epilepsy has given me quite the ride... if you need someone to relate to or your having trouble coping i am more than willing to help...i have come to terms with my epilepsy and its not going anywhere... and i am fine with that.

Hello and welcome to the site! There's plenty to explore here: Lots of good information about alternative/complementary therapies, medications, the varieties and vagaries of the epilepsy experience, etc. It sounds like you're at an okay place with your epilepsy, and have a lot to offer too. Always to great to have a new voice/perspective!

Hello Rocker - Welcome to CWE

My daughter is 17 and began having seizures at the age of 14.
We have controlled hers with neurofeedback and nutrition. We were not given much HOPE in the beginning. We were told it was due to a "birthmark" on her brain, but due to my research I have found new ways to raise her seizure threshold. The time between seizures has been increasing, and we are encouraged.
