New here, looks like loads of useful information.

Had epilepsy for most my life, just came back from my neurologist and he told me that I've been prescribed everything under the moon, so I hope to bring some useful advice to the table. I've gone from having seizures from every third day to once a month so I haven't narrowed down significant triggers. I've received three brain surgeries and am on disability. Narrowed down the warning signs for them as 20mins - 40mins of schizophrenia, but that's a recent development of the past two and a half years.

Absolutely fine with it. Just here because of some weight issues.
Damn junk won't let go!

Cheers all,

I'd like to welcome you and will find some good information here, I know I did.

I was diagnosed with epilepsy about 10 years ago and your seizures sound a lot like mine. I might go from having 5 or more seizures a month, sometimes more than one in a day or days in a row, or I could go almost a whole month without having any seizures.

Two triggers for me are stress (a major trigger) and not getting enough sleep. If these things happen then we know that I'm proably going to have a seizure soon. However I do have seizures that just come out of no where. I usually don't have any warning signs that one is coming on.

I think I've been on almost every med under the sun. Some didn't work and some worked but I couldn't deal with the side effects. One side effect that I had with quite a few medicine dealt with my weight. On some I didn't eat anything, I pretty much had to force myself to eat just because I knew I had to. On others all I did was eat, if I saw it I ate it. My meds and dosages were changed around alot. I'm still having weight problems but I think if I got off my butt and did some excersie I'd loose some.

Nice to meet you!
