So glad I found this Forum to gain information and talk and share experiences. I am from Ohio and had seizures at age of 2yrs. old. I have Gray matter heterotopia. My therapy is equine horse back riding. Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Carol Workman. Canfield Ohio

Hi and Welcome to CWE,

I have to say I've never heard of horse back riding as a treatment for E.

You don't take any meds.?

Have you seen a Neur.?

Welcome! I'm curious to hear about the horseback riding therapy as well. =) I'm pretty much on medication/basic lifestyle change therapy. I don't work, I homeschool to keep my schedule flexible, and I keep things really low-key around here.

I'm Josie, I live in the PNW. I've had simple and complex partial seizures for the last 15 years. The only thing they know about mine is that one of my Temporal Lobes is malformed. Other people in my family have/had epilepsy as well. Right now I am taking Trileptal, Lamictal, Dilantin, and Vimpat, with the long term plan of removing the Dilantin and Trileptal. Trileptal worked great for me for the last 8 years, but has depleted my sodium too aggressively in the last two to continue taking it.

I'm not familiar with gray matter heterotopia, I'm going to google that and expand my horizon. ;)
